RAT LISTKEEPS MOB ‘CAPO’ IN JAIL

An alleged Genovese capo charged with masterminding the family’s domination of construction unions kept a “rat list” of government snitches, federal prosecutors said yesterday, urging a judge to keep him behind bars.

After listening to prosecutors’ arguments that Louis Moscatiello, 66, “poses a significant threat to the safety of the community,” Manhattan federal Judge Kimba Wood ordered the accused mobster to remain in prison without bail.

Moscatiello and 21 other alleged Genovese associates and cronies were rounded up this week and charged in an 83-count indictment detailing the mob’s dominance of the drywall industry through corrupt unions.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan Kolodner told Wood that if Moscatiello is released he could retaliate against informants who helped get him busted.
