It’s no illusion!
Magician David Blaine has pulled a disappearing act, vanishing from the London hospital where he had been recovering from his bizarre, 44-day starvation stunt, it was reported yesterday.
The illusionist, who lost 56 pounds during the more than six weeks he spent living in a small plexiglass box suspended in midair, disappeared Friday night from London Independent Hospital without even checking out, according to The Sun newspaper.
The 30-year-old Blaine, who emerged from the box last Sunday, left a note on his bed reading: “Thank you.”
“Blaine left all his belongings but disappeared leaving a note to thank the staff,” a hospital worker told the paper.
“He had a friend waiting to drive him away and vanished into the night.”
