Cops are hunting a Brooklyn man wanted for stabbing his landlord to death last week in a dispute over rent money, police sources said yesterday.
Gary Nesterov, 32, murdered Svetlana Sytcheva inside his basement apartment on West 8th Street in Gravesend last Saturday after repeatedly stabbing her in the neck and torso, sources said.
Nesterov, who also uses the aliases George Suslou and George Malychiu, may have a mustache, police said.
Sytcheva, 56, who lived in a different building, was found lying face up in a pool of blood in a closet.
Law enforcement sources said Nesterov got into a fight with Sytcheva when she went to the apartment to collect back rent.
Sytcheva was killed during last week’s bloody weekend, in which 10 other people were slain during two violence-filled days.
