ARETHA FACES FIRE SUBPOENA

Investigators are closing in on an arson suspect in the October fire that destroyed singer Aretha Franklin’s Michigan mansion, and may subpoena the reticent Queen of Soul to answer questions about the case.

Franklin, 60, is “reluctant to cooperate,” said Bloomfield Township prosecutor Dave Gorcyca.

“We’re contemplating serving her with an investigative subpoena.”

Franklin’s sprawling, 12-bedroom mansion was completely gutted in the early-morning Oct. 25 fire.

Relatives said Franklin had been trying to sell it.

Police and fire investigators this week named an arson suspect who has not been revealed.

Assistant prosecutor James Halushkam stressed that Franklin isn’t a suspect.

Franklin’s lawyer, Albert Hatchett, told The Post, “She has spoken through counsel, as any person in their right mind would do.”

“If the focus of an investigation is on you or a member of your family … that’s what you do.”
