HAMAS BOOK BREWS BIOCHEM TERROR

JERUSALEM – A Web site for the Hamas terrorist group offers advice on how to mass-produce poison for attacks, the Israeli army charged yesterday.

But Hamas said the lengthy “Mujahedeen Poisons Handbook” was an unsolicited offering to one of the site’s chat rooms – from a Web surfer identified as the “Red Baron.”

“This document is further evidence of Hamas’ use of the Internet as a means of assistance in its efforts to carry out terrorist attacks,” the Israeli army said in a statement.

A Hamas official, Ismail Haniyah, told Reuters the group bore no responsibility for what contributors said on its Web site.

“Hamas does not seek to own non-conventional weapons,” he said. “It is not Hamas’ strategy to own biological or chemical weapons.”

One recipe describes how to boil down cigarettes in alcohol to make a toxic nicotine poison.

“Ten cigarettes should be enough to kill three men, therefore three is enough to kill one man,” the manual said.
