THE FIRST BABY OF 2003 BORN IN THE WASHINGTON D.C. AREA IS UNIQUE FOR ANOTHER REASON – SHE HAS TWO MOMMIES

The first baby of 2003 born in the Washington D.C. area is unique for another reason – she has two mommies, it was reported yesterday.

The 5-pound, 2-ounce girl was born to Helen Rubin, 33, who gave birth, and Joanna Bare, 35, her partner, said the Washington Post. The two women have been together for 12 years and Bare is seeking to legally adopt the infant.

“Hopefully, we’ll be like any family,” said Rubin.
