SOTTHA KEEP ON COOKIN’

THERE’S more news on Sottha Khunn’s next venture. The former Le Cirque chef, who recently signed a lease at 135 E. 65th St., will feature Italian cuisine at his new eatery, tentatively called Bambolina. The building’s owner had no comment.

* Hacienda de Argentina, the newest restaurant from the owners of Casa La Femme, will open Tuesday at 339 E. 75th St. in the former Red/Bar space. The eatery will feature choice grass-fed steaks and gourmet empanadas.

* Talk about an appetite. Jean-Georges Vongerichten traveled from New York to Barcelona and back in 24 hours after tasting 44 courses at the famed El Bulli restaurant. The blow-by-blow of the fast-food fest is chronicled in the upcoming holiday issue of City Magazine.

* Remedy at 36 E. 20th St. has changed its name to Anju. A spokesperson for the Flatiron eatery, which features muted lighting and a spa-like atmosphere, says the name change reflects a new Korean menu.

Chef Claude Chassagne’s offerings incorporate ingredients from various corners of the Far East. Appetizers include sashimi salads, lobster and duck spring rolls and Korean barbecue specialties.

* Two of South Beach Miami’s more visible restaurateurs, Karim Masri and Nicola Siervo, are teaming up to open Metro Kitchen + Bar, formerly known as Astor Place, in the trendy Astor hotel by mid-December.

* Chef Gray Kunz has signed architect David Rockwell to design his planned eatery in the AOL Time Warner building.

* Man Ray will soon have to name a new chef. Former executive chef Benjamin DeForest, brought on by Harvey Weinstein from Balance in Martha’s Vineyard, is rumored to be moving to California to become Bruce Willis’ personal cook.
