‘COPYCAT’ SLAYING DEVASTATES BX. KIN

The heartsick wife of a slain Bronx cabby who was blown away by a possible Beltway-sniper copycat says the coldblooded murder has left her and her three kids shattered and broke.

“We don’t even have enough to bury my husband,” a sobbing Zulieka Valencia told The Post, as she and her family stood where her beloved spouse was shot dead at 2125 Randall Ave.

Kleber Valencia, 29, and another livery cabby, José Robles, 35, also of The Bronx, were murdered Saturday night in separate incidents – allegedly by Roberto Mayen, 26, of Woodbridge, Va.

Mayen was grabbed Sunday after speeding through a Maine border crossing into Canada and back in a stolen silver Audi. Cops are looking into whether he was inspired by the Psycho Sniper attacks in Maryland and Virginia.

Zulieka, 27, said the killing has put the futures of Kleber Jr., 9, Chelsey, 4, and Nadia, 7 months, in jeopardy.

“We send our kids and Kleber’s sister, Lissette, to private school. But we don’t have any money now,” she said.

A funeral will be held Friday at St. Athanasius Church, 878 Tiffany St. in The Bronx.

Chief of Detectives Joseph Resnick said the first shooting occurred in the Bruckner section when Robles spotted Mayen driving his car the wrong way on Westchester Avenue and yelled at him to turn around.

“He got out of his car and shot Mr. Robles eight times,” Resnick said.
