TRAVELER’S UPDATE

Hello, again

There’s a witty new show at Copia, the American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts in Napa Valley, Calif. Susan Subtle Dintenfass, curator of whimsical and offbeat museum exhibitions, has done it again with “Return Engagement.” The show challenges our throwaway society with its refreshing look at artwork and objects created from recycled refuse: pull-tabs, jar lids, candy wrappers, tin cans, bottles, straws and swizzle sticks. Admission to this treasure trove, which runs through Jan. 6, 2003, is $12.50; (707) 259-1600, http://www.copia.org.

Hum along

There’s not much ‘budget’ about Budget Rent-A-Car of Beverly Hills; the company has added a new line of toys to its already too-cool-for-the-room collection – the Hummer H2. The behemoths are available at $250 a day, perfect for negotiating the mean streets of L.A. and launching an outbreak of car envy in a city that suffers from the disease on a daily basis; (800) 227-7117, http://www.budgetbeverlyhills.com.
