TEEN GIRL NABBED IN QNS. GANG SLAY

A 16-year-old girl has been arrested and two members of a Mexican street gang are being sought for the murder of a Queens waitress who balked at joining their group, police said.

Sources said Maria Vivar, 22, a Mexican immigrant, was killed because she resisted efforts to join the Elmhurst-based gang M-18.

Yesterday, detectives arrested Agustina Lopez, 16, of Ithaca Street in Elmhurst, for her role in the July 30 killing in Queens.

“It’s absolutely senseless,” said Sgt. Michael Blangiforti, commanding officer of the 108th Precinct detective squad.

Police said the other suspects are Jorge Martinez, 18, and Geraldo Morales, 20.
