DA BIDS TO BITE ‘HOT DOG’ PILOT PAIR

A pilot busted for July 4th air antics that frightened beachgoers and authorities on heightened terror alert told investigators he and his friend were “hot dogging” when they flew close to boaters and bathers, prosecutors said yesterday.

Commercial pilot Andre Paul Ackbar Morais confessed to FBI and FAA investigators that he and Daniel Oliveira flew 50 to 100 feet above the shore in their single-engine planes for half an hour during a trip from Cape Cod, where they’d been toting advertising banners, said Queens Assistant DA Marc Resnick.

Morais, 28, and Oliveira, 31, both of Florida, were arraigned on charges of reckless endangerment and aviation violations in Queens Criminal Court yesterday.
