PLAYGIRL LOOKING FOR FEW GOOD ENRON MEN

Playgirl wants to give the guys equal coverage – make that un-coverage.

A week after Playboy invited Enron’s female employees – past and present – to pose nude or semi-nude for a future issue, Playgirl is making the same offer to the men who work or worked for the collapsed energy giant.

The magazine yesterday said it would welcome photos of men interested in appearing in a photo spread on the sexiest men of Enron.

“We would prefer sexy photographs, any form of undress or anything that’s sexy,” said Playgirl editor-in-chief Michele Zipp.

She said those selected could negotiate how nude they’ll be in the photo spread, but added, “we would love to see the full monty, of course.”

In another Enron-related development, the family of John Clifford Baxter, the executive who took his own life in late January, has asked that his suicide note be suppressed.

The family’s lawyer wrote the Texas state attorney general that the note “includes highly intimate personal facts” about Baxter, who was Enron’s former vice chairman, and his relationship with his wife, Carol, and their two children.

It is “not of legitimate concern to the public” and its release “would have grave adverse effects” on Baxter’s family, Austin attorney Pike Powers noted.

Baxter, 43, shot himself in the head in his parked Mercedes a short distance from his home in the affluent Houston suburb of Sugar Land on Jan. 25.
