The Glasgow-based Society is essentially the prolific 30-year-old Colin MacIntyre, who will bring an eight-piece band to New York to play its particular melodic brand of Britpop and hook fans with songs from their upcoming debut “Loss,” which due in June.

The band’s “Barcode Bypass” was named single of the year in the U.K., and their new single “Watching Xanadu” is already in the U.K.’s Top 40.

The festival’s lineup include writers, comedians, musicians and actors such as Alan Cumming and Kyle MacLachlan. Seminars will be held during the day.
