POLICE BUST BRONX MAN IN SHOOTING OF 5-YEAR-OLD GIRL

A 22-year-old Bronx man has been charged with the shooting of a 5-year-old girl last week, cops said.

Joseph Bermudez, of Taylor Avenue, was charged with reckless endangerment and assault in the wounding of Anjelica Vasquez, who was shot in the face Wednesday afternoon in front of her apartment, at 1135 Evergreen Ave., also in The Bronx.

He was also charged, along with three other people in his home, with weapons possession.

Cops said they received a tip Thursday from an informant claiming that “JB” was involved in the shooting, said Deputy Chief Joseph Reznick.

The police obtained a search warrant for Bermudez’s residence and arrested the suspect when he came home while they were executing it.
