Aging action star Harrison Ford is stepping out with a new “friend” – reed-thin “Ally McBeal” star Calista Flockhart.
The couple, both bundled in winter jackets and wearing blue jeans and caps, were seen strolling together down Madison Avenue.
Ford, who divorced screenwriter Melissa Mathison last year, had been linked with “Good Will Hunting” actress Minnie Driver when the two were caught after a pre-Golden Globes party in mid-January canoodling at the Hollywood restaurant Divino.
A photographer even snapped the couple driving off in a car, with Ford at the wheel.
Just days later, Driver, who reportedly was Ford’s date to the Globes, was nowhere to be seen.
Ford showed up at a post-Globes party with Flockhart on his arm.
All eyes were glued to the bizarre couple, and whispers started when the waifish actress accidentally spilled a glass of red wine all over her dress, and on Ford’s hand and the Golden Globe statue he got for Lifetime Achievement.
A gallant Ford kissed the mortified Flockhart on the cheek and, after wiping off his award, told bystanders, “She’s a beautiful girl.”
When asked where his supposedly current flame Driver was, Ford coyly asked, “Who?”
Pat McQueeney, Ford’s rep, said, “[Ford and Flockhart] are friends . . . [Driver and Ford] are also friends . . . Harrison has a lot of friends.”
Ford’s divorce sure hasn’t hurt his star power – The Hollywood Reporter this month put him near the top of its list of bankable movie stars. Last month, Steven Spielberg ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^said he and Ford are getting set to work on another “Indiana Jones” movie.
