GUILTY PLEA IN ‘87 B’KLYN CABBY SLAY

A Brooklyn man pleaded guilty yesterday to murdering a cabdriver, in exchange for a sentence of 15 years to life – at least one year longer than two innocent men served for the crime.

Arlet Cheston, who was busted last year after new leads in the case led to the release of the two other men, admitted to the 1987 shooting death of 46-year-old Jean Ulysses in Brooklyn.

Cheston pleaded guilty at Brooklyn Supreme Court just before the scheduled start of a jury trial – and the possibility of 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
