A Queens assistant district attorney who prosecuted prostitutes and pimps has been busted for soliciting a hooker, police said yesterday.
Michael Connolly, 49, a 23-year veteran of the Queens DA’s office, was arrested Friday night after he allegedly solicited oral sex from an undercover cop posing as a prostitute at 33rd Avenue and Miller Street in College Point.
“He offered the undercover cop $20 for oral sex,” a police source said.
Connolly, who has been suspended without pay from his $98,000-a-year job with the DA’s office, was nabbed in a prostitution sting along with six other suspected johns.
Connolly, who’s single, had overseen cases such as the October sweep of prostitutes in Long Island City and the June prosecution of a Queens man suspected of being a pimp for a 6-year-old girl.
Connolly was released on his own recognizance after being arraigned last night at Queens Criminal Court on charges of patronizing a prostitute.
