TOT BURNED AS PARENTS BATTLE: COPS

A drunken row between a Queens man and his live-in girlfriend led to their 5-month-old daughter being hospitalized with burns and each of them being arrested for child abuse, police said.

Police said that Alberto Martinez, 33, and Leanne Allen, 28, hurled boiling water at each other while carrying on a booze-fueled spat inside their home at 107-49 88th St., in Ozone Park shortly before 5 a.m. yesterday.

After an initial argument between the couple wound down, Martinez went into a bedroom with their daughter, Adaleana, police sources said.

Allen allegedly reignited the hostilities by following him, then hurled a cup of boiling water at him.

Martinez was only mildly injured, police said, but the attack seriously burned Adaleana.

In retaliation, police said, Martinez then threw a cup of boiling water at Allen, causing third-degree burns, police claim.

The infant was admitted to New York Hospital-Cornell Burn Center.

The parents, neither of whom had a previous record of child abuse, were charged with assault, reckless endangerment, and endangering the welfare of a child, sources said.
