Madonna’s movie-making hubby Guy Ritchie has enraged an animal-rights group after he reportedly shot down a wild boar on a recent Florida hunting trip.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wrote a letter to Ritchie after the 32-year old British director was seen killing the boar during the Material Mom’s Drowned World Tour stop in Sunrise, Fla., the British Press Association reported.
Ritchie, who is known for his love of hunting, originally wanted to chase alligators but was told they were out of hunting season. That’s when he started looking for wild boar as he embarked on his expedition at Lake Okeechobee.
PETA – which suggested Ritchie might like to go swimming in shark-infested waters next time he visits Florida – wrote that he should “square off against a more equally matched predator, instead of a small vegetarian animal who can only run from your guns,” the BPA reported.
