LAWYER IN CAR-CRASH SCAM: FEDS

A drugged-up lawyer was busted by the feds yesterday and charged with helping Russian scam artists arrange a phony car crash to collect insurance money, officials said.

Alexander Galkovich, 30, appeared puffy-eyed in Manhattan federal court, where he was arraigned on mail-fraud charges stemming from an undercover FBI sting.

Prosecutor Miriam Rocah said in court that Galkovich had “tested positive and admitted to drug use” after his arrest.

His lawyer, George Goltzer, said only that his client was battling “personal problems,” and would not comment on the case.

The lawyer, who runs his own firm in Brooklyn, allegedly helped four men file fake insurance claims through an unidentified medical clinic.
