COPS SEEK HARLEM GIRL IN KIDNAP

A teen-age girl walked off with a Harlem couple’s infant boy last night, police said – an act a neighbor called “a cry for help.”

Cops fanned out through the Rangel Houses searching for 2-month-old Justin Opara. He went missing at about 8:30 p.m.

Justin’s abductor was described as 15 years old, 5-foot-6, 165 pounds, wearing Jordache jeans and a yellow Fubu shirt. Police wouldn’t release her name because she’s a juvenile.

Justin was wearing blue pajamas.

The suspect disappeared with the baby a month ago “for an extended period of time,” said Lloyd Garner, who lives in the Opara family’s building.

Neighbors backed up Garner’s statement, but cops could not confirm a previous incident.

“This is a cry for help,” Garner said of last night’s abduction – adding that Justin will turn up OK.

“I don’t think she would do anything to intentionally hurt the baby,” Garner said. “I think she just went out and took the baby joy-walking.”
