EVENING COMMUTE NOT SO ‘GRAND’

Holiday travelers rushing to Passover Seders yesterday got temporarily shut out of Grand Central Terminal after a partial building collapse halted Metro-North train service in and out of the station.

The rear wall of a building under construction at Park Avenue and East 65th Street tumbled yesterday afternoon and train service was halted from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. to prevent further damage, said Dan Brucker, a Metro-North spokesman.

Partial service to Grand Central was restored around 6:30 p.m.
