SOY HELPS PREVENT ALZHEIMER’S: STUDY

Soy may reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease – especially in post-menopausal women, a new study says.

The discovery comes on the heels of research that suggests soy also helps reduce the risk of heart disease and cancer.

Researchers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham conducted a three-year study of animals.

The results showed chemicals found in soy, called phytoestrogens, reduce the number of protein changes in the brain associated with Alzheimer’s.
