MEXICAN GANGS IN DEADLY BX. CLASH

An upsurge in violence involving Mexican gangs continued yesterday when a man was stabbed to death and three people were wounded in two incidents, police said.

In the first incident, a fight broke out in the Mexican Palace restaurant on 180th Street in The Bronx at about 1:15 a.m., cops said.

The melee involved members of the Black Falcon Crew, a Mexican motorcycle gang, and may also have involved members of The Roadrunners, a rival Mexican gang with headquarters across the street from the eatery, investigators said.

During the fight, Ruben Vasquez, 16, stabbed Xavier Marrerro, 27, in the chest, police said.

Marrerro was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died.

Vasquez was also stabbed, but not seriously hurt, and he was charged with murder.

It wasn’t immediately clear to which gang each of the men belonged.

In the second incident, members of the Los Carnalitos gang tried to get into a christening party on Wyckoff Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn, police said.

When they were denied entry, one of the gang members took out a gun and fired several shots, wounding two people, cops said.

Sal Mesa-Rosa, 24, was shot in the face and chest, and Victor Quirous was shot in the body, police said. Both men were taken to Elmhurst General Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Police made no arrests.

The Post reported yesterday that three Mexican gang members had already been killed this year. Last year, cops said there were 49 stabbings, shooting and assaults, including 10 murders, involving Mexican gang members.
