Kathie Lee, you’re no Gilligan.
The perky co-host of “Live With Regis and Kathie Lee” would be the first castaway to get voted off the island if there was a celebrity edition of “Survivor,” while wrestler “The Rock” would body-slam the competition, a TV Guide poll says.
In the survey, viewers of the smash CBS series were given a list of possible superstar contestants that included Gifford, talk-show gabbers Regis Philbin and Rosie O’Donnell, the cast of “Friends,” “Road Trip” star Tom Green and the hulking WWF superstar.
Gifford garnered 44 percent of the vote to be the first person booted from the deserted island, while 40 percent believe “The Rock,” whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, would be the last star standing.
O’Donnell placed second for both the castaway to get voted off the island first with 21 percent, and the castaway who would be the winner with 23 percent.
The poll, which surveyed 255 adults in all 50 states, was also unfriendly to the cast of “Friends” – only 10 percent said they would be the victor.
Five percent believe comic actor Green has what it takes to survive.
“Survivor” is a reality-based adventure series in which contestants vie for a $1 million jackpot, while trying to last on a primitive, tropical island near Borneo.
Each week, a member of the group is voted off the island by the others. The show started with 16 people and is now down to 12.
CBS President Les Moonves joked about a possible celebrity “Survivor.”
“Oh, yeah, we’re going to take the stars of our shows and put them on an island for 30 days,” he said.
“How about a weekend in the Catskills, where they fight over the buffet line?”
