ALLY JOINS ‘MONOLOGUES’

PRODUCERS of “The Vagina Monologues” have tapped Calista Flockhart to co-star for a week in June – though they still haven’t announced a replacement for dropout Donna Hanover.

The “Ally McBeal” star has already taken part in special celebrity Valentine’s Day performances of the provocative play in Los Angeles and London.

This time, she’ll be strutting her stuff at the Off-Broadway Westside Theater from June 13-25, joined by Lisa Gay Hamilton of ABC’s “The Practice.”

Flockhart and Hamilton both star in shows produced by David Kelley. A show spokeman said the third actress for their run hasn’t been chosen but will probably not come from a Kelley show.

A rotating trio of actresses have done New York’s “Vagina” since playwright Eve Ensler last performed it solo early this year.

Hanover was set for a May 30-June 11 run but pulled out after her husband, Mayor Giuliani, announced he’s been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Her decision to take the job in the first place raised eyebrows because of the subject matter and Ensler’s ardent support of Giuliani’s Senate rival, Hillary Clinton.

The show has not yet selected an actress to take Hanover’s place and co-star with Kirstie Alley and Hazel Goodman, but the decision should be made in the next few days.
