A Bronx mother was charged yesterday with using a pair of scissors to stab her newborn son to death in her sister’s apartment.
Jasmin Chavez “just said that she didn’t want the baby,” said a detective.
Chavez, 27, a factory worker, was visiting her sister, Francisca Chavez, 30, when she gave birth to a full-term boy about 3 a.m., a police source said.
Later, Francisca awoke and noticed that her sister was splattered in blood. The two went to Union Hospital, bringing the body in a bag.
Stunned emergency-room personnel declared the child dead — and quickly called cops, who arrested Jasmin.
