THE STARR REPORT

This space for rent

“Good Morning America” is unveiling a quirky new outdoor kiosk/billboard campaign here today to advertise the show’s home on Ch.7.

The colorful ads feature photos of hosts Diane Sawyer and Charles Gibson and the tagline, “It’s not a good morning without it.”

One ad features the words, “Good. Clean. Fun.” followed by a bar of soap emblazoned with “Good Morning America.”

Another ad shows a razor and dollop of shaving cream with the words, “For a sharper edge.”

Yet another ad shows a cereal bowl and a spoon — preceded with the words, “Always crisp, never soggy.”

A fourth ad — showing a toothbrush and toothpaste — contains the words, “Brighter and fresher.”

“GMA” remains firmly entrenched in second place behind NBC’s “Today Show.”

‘Beat’ goes on(line)

UPN’s “The Beat,” which debuts March 21, will launch a website on Feb. 28 to give viewers four weeks-worth of “webisodes” that will introduce the two main characters, cops Zane Marinelli (Mark Ruffalo) and Mike Dorigan (Derek Cecil).

Fans logging onto thebeattv.com will get background on the characters’ Police Academy training, family histories and even dating problems.

“The Beat,” filmed entirely in New York, springs from the creative mind of “Homicide” co-creator Barry Levinson. It’ll air on Ch.9.

Hey, Ralphie boy!

Post radio reporter John Mainelli reports that Boston DJ Ralphie Marino, who just quit WJMN in Beantown, could wind up on WKTU.

Mainelli says ‘KTU has confirmed talks with Marino, but doesn’t yet have a deal in place.

There are a number of scenarios in which Marino could fit into ‘KTU’s plans, including sitting in for Goumba Johnny Sialiano — who’s doing five months for tax evasion but is expected to return to ‘KTU after leaving prison.

Strawberry surprise

Memo to bookers at “The View”: Charisse Strawberry wants to revisit your show.

Charisse, the wife of Yankees slugger Darryl Strawberry, would like to drop in on her favorite show while she’s in New York on Feb. 23.

Charisse will be here to help the fundraising auction of The Alcoholism Council of New York, being held at The National Arts Club.
