CURRY HIT WITH $4M SUIT OVER ASSAULT

A nightclub owner is suing Christian Curry for $4 million, claiming the axed Morgan Stanley Dean Witter analyst beat him up, threw him through a window and caused him “excruciating” pain.

In papers filed in Manhattan State Supreme Court, Scott Sartiano, who runs a hip and hot unnamed lounge known as the Spring Street Social Club, says Curry, 26, attacked him on 19th Street near Broadway on Nov. 16, 1997 after an argument about a woman.

The suit says Sartiano “was intentionally and maliciously assaulted, beaten and pushed through a window,” making him “sore, lame disabled and scarred … [He] continues to suffer excruciating physical and mental pain.”

Curry was convicted of attacking Sartiano last year, and sentenced to 3 years probation. His lawyer, Earl Rawlins, said Curry’s innocent and he’s appealing. Curry’s civil lawyer, Benedict Morelli, dismissed the suit as “frivolous.”

Curry’s no stranger to lawsuits — he has a $1.7 billion action pending against Morgan Stanley, the company that canned him after he appeared in a gay skin mag. Curry claims he was fired because of his race — he’s black — and perceived sexual orientation. The company says he was fired for abusing his expense account.
