‘NSYNC ‘NSANITY WILL SWEEP TIMES SQUARE

Girl-lock is expected in Times Square tomorrow as hundreds of panting teenyboppers mob the sidewalks outside MTV’s street-front studio to catch a glimpse of the boys from ‘Nsync.

The popular, squeaky-clean quintet is scheduled to appear on the cable music network’s “Total Request Live” show between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to unveil their new single, “Bye, Bye, Bye,” from their latest album, “No Strings Attached.”

MTV is expected to provide extra security inside and out to restrain screaming fans. City cops will also be on hand.

The last time the band was in the MTV studio, last year, hundreds of fans mobbed the area. The studio on Broadway and 43rd Street is on the second floor, but fans can easily catch a glimpse through its windows.

‘Nsync, a dance-pop vocal group, landed its first recording contract in late 1997 with RCA. The boys’ debut album, with hits like “I Want You Back” and “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” skyrocketed on the charts and went platinum.

After tomorrow’s studio interview with MTV host Carson Daly — the boys will not perform — they’ll start packing to go to Atlanta, where they’ll sing Saturday at a pre-Super Bowl concert.
