An 18-year-old Brooklyn man shut himself in a room and committed suicide after pointing a gun at cops, police said yesterday.
Police were called to 410 Sutter Ave. in East New York at 8:30 p.m. Saturday by a woman who said her daughter’s boyfriend had gotten into a fight with the girl.
When cops arrived, the mother ordered the boyfriend, Troy Addison, 18, of 825 Nichols Ave., to leave, but he pulled out a 9mm pistol and pointed it at the officers, police said.
Cops fired several shots and Addison ran into a room and shut the door, authorities said.
Emergency Service Unit cops were called in and tried to speak with the armed teen through the closed door. They heard a gunshot and when they went inside, they found Addison dead, with a bullet wound in his mouth and the 9mm lying next to him, investigators said.
Police said an autopsy showed his death was a suicide.
