SUBWAY HUSTLER SHOT: B’KLYN COPS

A subway scammer was shot in the chest at a downtown Brooklyn subway stop last night by a teen fed up with his hustle, police and witnesses said.

A witness said the victim works a regular hustle at the Nevins Street IRT station — he slides unlimited ride MetroCards through the turnstiles for $1, giving riders a 50-cent discount.

At about 8:50 p.m., the subway hustler offered the $1 deal to a youth cops identified as Greg Davis, 17.

Davis said no — and when the hustler persisted, police said, Davis pulled out a gun and opened fire. A passer-by suffered a graze wound.

The unidentified victim was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, with a gunshot wound to his chest.
