First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton’s four-day trip to Israel and Jordan will include a visit to the Western Wall in Jerusalem, the White House said yesterday.
Some Jewish leaders criticized Clinton after an Israeli newspaper last week reported that the first lady wasn’t planning to visit the wall, a sacred site for Jews that is more commonly known as the Wailing Wall.
But Mrs. Clinton’s spokeswoman, Marsha Berry, said a trip to the wall was always in the works, adding that it wasn’t clear if the visit would be tomorrow or Thursday.
