ABSTRACT:
Nightclub king Peter Gatien will be behind bars for three months – to serve time, not drinks – after pleading guilty yesterday to cheating the tax man out of more than a million dollars.
Gatien admitted in Manhattan Supreme Court to pocketing $1.4 million in revenue from his club empire from 1991 to 1996 – money he should have paid in state and city income and sales taxes.
In return for his plea, Gatien, 46, and his wife, Alessandra, 31, must cough up a whopping $1.9 million in back taxes and fines.
