BACK TO THE FUTURE FOR CITY HALL PARK

City Hall Park promises to glitter in the next millennium when it re-opens after a $22 million renovation that’ll restore its 19th century glory – complete with replicas of a Victorian fountain, gas lamps and ornate fence that enclosed the park in the 1820s.

While Mayor Giuliani was in Arizona over New Year’s hobnobbing with conservative Republicans, his pollster and former deputy mayor were at a much more well-known Democratic equivalent at Hilton Head, S.C.

“I was honored to attend,” said former Deputy Mayor Randy Mastro,a registered Democrat.

Frank Luntz, Giuliani’s pollster, spoke about “what the Republicans did wrong” in the last election.
