Report: Bauer Hockey Potential Sale

DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS (July 8, 2024) – There is a report that Bauer Hockey, a member of the Hockey Dealers Association (HDA), is hitting the market, according to Richard Dufour of La Presse. Fairfax and Sagard are considering divesting themselves of Bauer, whose activities are grouped under the name Peak Achievement with the assets of Maverik, a lacrosse brand.

The potential sale of Bauer Hockey comes after a report earlier in the year about CCM Hockey being up for a potential sale from its private equity group, Birch Hill Equity Partners. Even with the Professional Women’s Hockey League’s (PWHL) impressive debut and the buzz surrounding the recent Stanley Cup playoffs, the issue for CCM and Bauer is hockey isn’t growing.
