The short-scar technique involves making a lollipop-shaped incision in the breast, with a ring around the nipple and a line extending part of the way down the underside of the breast. Dr. Rowe then removes some tissue from the sides and bottom of the breast, leaving tissue beneath the nipple and areola intact. Studies have shown that this technique allows Dr. Rowe to consistently provide patients with attractively contoured breasts that stay high, while preserving feeling to the nipple.
Because the incision is made in the inferior pedicle, the short-scar technique gives Dr. Rowe better control over post-operative breast contour than is possible with T-scar and other methods. Patients also enjoy small, vertical scars that tend to heal well (without significant widening, wrinkling or other complications) because of their location.
Dr. Rowe wants to help you get the procedure you need to feel and look your best. Financing is available for some procedures, and Dr. Rowe also accepts most health insurance for breast reduction surgery. A breast reduction can significantly improve quality of life and help with back and shoulder issues. Dr. Rowe has great success getting many breast reduction operations covered by health insurance plans. While the amount of coverage does depend on your specific insurance policy, Dr. Rowe will work with you and your insurance company to get your procedure covered as much as possible by health insurance.
Let’s hearTHE BEST PLASTIC SURGEON! Dr. Rowe and his staff are amazing, accommodating, caring and comforting. I had consultations with many surgeons for a breast reduction prior and none of them made me feel as confident and secure about the operation as Dr. Rowe did. He educated me on my options and made sure I was going to get what I ultimately wanted. Post surgery, the staff was always available if I had any concerns no matter what time it was and follow up appointments were very hospitable. Recommend Dr.Rowe and his staff both for his work and their hospitality. He did an amazing job!
Dr. Rowe is an amazing surgeon. From my consultation to my surgery to my recovery Dr. Rowe and his team has been absolutely wonderful. My surgery went extremely well I was expecting to come in pain but I came out feeling better than ever. Later on that day I got a call from one of the ladies checking to see how I was doing and I thought that was so sweet of them. The recovery process has been amazing, my breast look so perfect and I feel like a brand new person.
