The first step in the procedure is to have your hair trimmed to be as short as possible. Dr. Rowe’s staff will then adjust the laser to account for various factors unique to your hair, such as its color and thickness, as well as where it’s located on your skin and even your very skin color. Once in use, the HarmonyXL laser will penetrate your skin to strike hair follicles, destroying all nearby hair-producing cells. This is an entirely safe technique and will not harm any other tissue.
In a few cases of minor discomfort, ice packs, creams, or simply crystal-clean cold water will be issued to assist with recovery. While the entire procedure is non-invasive and perfectly safe, treatment sessions are scheduled whole weeks apart in order to best ensure continued skin health. Laser hair removal procedures will continue to be applied as long as necessary, generally spaced over three to six months in most patients.
A good ninety percent of Dr. Rowe’s clients experience permanent hair loss in treated areas typically after just three to five sessions.
