Dr. Norman Rowe performs arm lift surgery on both men and woman, though the procedure is most common among women. As we age, skin begins to lose its elasticity and the underarm becomes increasingly resistant to toning exercises. An arm lift is an effective way to eliminate sagging arm skin and improve self-confidence. In many instances, liposuction can be performed on the arms to improve their appearance. If Dr. Rowe feels that a surgical excision of the excess skin is needed, then a brachioplasty is offered. A brachioplasty is also very effective for addressing excess skin after extreme weight loss and bariatric surgery.

Your Arm Lift Surgery

During arm lift surgery Dr. Rowe will make an incision in the armpit crease. From this incision he will remove excess skin and, if necessary, perform minor liposuction to achieve a smaller, tighter underarm. This will produce a more youthful appearing arm.

Arm Recovery

Arm lift recovery is surprisingly fast and you will likely return to work in a week or so. You will need some assistance during this recovery time as your arms will be expectedly sore. Strenuous exercise and heaving lifting must be avoided for at least two weeks.

Arm Lift Results

Your arms will be instantly slimmer and firmer after Dr. Rowe’s arm lift procedure. As with all plastic surgeries, results will continue to improve in the weeks and months following surgery. It is important to note that arm lift surgery does result in a scar under the upper arm. Dr. Rowe will ensure that you have a detailed understanding of how the scar may look after recovery. For most patients the benefits of smaller and youthful looking arms far outweighs the potential scar.
