Netflix has unveiled the last official trailer (watch it here) for the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy, and it gives us a good look at where we might find our beleaguered Hargreeves in their new timeline.

As we know, Season 3 of The Umbrella Academy ended with a showdown at the Hotel Oblivion that led to a complete reset of the timeline — and the Hargreeves are now stripped of their powers, which should make saving their new world quite a bit more difficult. The trailer opens with a call between Viktor (Elliot Page) and Ben (Justin H. Min), as the former warns Ben that he's on pace to "end the world in about 48 hours." Reginald (Colm Feore), however, corrects Victor that it's a mere 24 hours, actually, until potential catastrophe.

We then see the Hargreeves teamed up once more, albeit begrudgingly, as they navigate their new timeline. Interestingly, Nick Offerman's new character teases that "that tentacle boy" — a.k.a., Ben — "is the key to understanding all the timelines."

What's more, even though they've been stripped of their previous powers, it seems like the Hargreeves may have picked up some new ones. We get a quick glimpse of Viktor shooting fire from his hands, and in a new batch of images Netflix released (which you can see below), he's seen in a similarly heated-up state. We also see Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) send Luther (Tom Hopper) flying backwards, seemingly with her mind, after her eyes glow.

But one thing that may be of particular interest to fans: the answer to how Ben might've died. In one scene in the trailer, Five (Aidan Gallagher) asks the family if they remember how it "actually" happened, and while Allison and Viktor simply answer that he died because "we failed as a team," it looks like Luther might just remember something more.

You can read the official synopsis for Season 4 below:

The Hargreeves siblings have scattered after the climactic showdown at the Hotel Oblivion led to a complete reset of their timeline. Stripped of their powers, each is left to fend for themselves and find a new normal — with wildly varying degrees of success. Yet the trappings of their uncanny new world prove too hard to ignore for very long. Their father Reginald, alive and well, has stepped out of the shadows and into the public eye, overseeing a powerful and nefarious business empire. A mysterious association known as The Keepers holds clandestine meetings believing the reality they’re living in is a lie and a great reckoning is coming. As these strange new forces conspire around them, the Umbrella Academy must come together one last time — and risk upsetting the shaky peace they’ve all endured so much to secure — to finally set things right.

The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will premiere on Netflix on August 8. In the meantime, check out our review of Season 3, where I wrote that it "tells a more intimate and focused story in Season 3, bolstered by the strength of its complicated characters and excellent cast."
