About the jobA. Portfolio build-up:Establishes a network for sourcing RE financing opportunities.Identifies and executes a pipeline of RE financing opportunities in OI focus countries.Build a portfolio of RE assets, either direct or through participation in transactions led by other impact financiers:

off-grid solar (inc. mini-grids, C&I, clean cooking, productive use and e-mobility)on-grid RE wind, solar, biomass and hydropower projects

Supports the development of financial debt products appropriate for RE projects.Appraise financial models and systems to analyze RE projectsLiaises with the Equity team for RE equity investment opportunities.Is responsible for the whole cycle of RE projects from identification, analysis, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, documentation and closing of the finance transaction.Performs analysis and diligence of RE projects for potential debt or equity investments.Writes debt financing proposalsPresent financing proposals to the Credit Committee.B. Portfolio management:Manage the relationships with project partners, co-financing organizations, networks, and other relevant parties for RE projects.Establish and maintain relationships with external legal advisors for the due diligence of RE projects and negotiation / execution of legal contracts.Manages RE projects in portfolio in close coordination with the Oikocredit Region of the project.Provides input for the preparation of reports for the Investments department.Supports the development of processes and appropriate systems to manage the RE portfolio in cooperation with other departments.Monitors financial, social and environmental performance of and conducts monitoring visits to RE projects.Monitors the repayment and portfolio status of RE projects.Prepare or contribute to progress reports to Oikocredit management and board on key performance indicators for RE projects.C. Supports RE-Investment Officers in the Regions:

Support in the development of skills, knowledge and network of RE Investment Analyst(s).Assess project opportunities together with RE-IO’s.Where relevant, work with regional IO’s to originate, structure, due diligence and present RE deals.Review applications for 1 st

stage approval submitted by the Region.Support negotiations and structuring of the transaction.Qualifications, skills, and experienceA bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance / legal / business / economics.CFA Charterholder is desiredAt least 5 years’ experience with structured finance and / or project finance in the (off-grid) renewable energy sector, preferably in emerging marketsIn-depth knowledge of RE project risks and mitigation.Current RE market knowledge in developing countries.Field experience in developing countriesStrong skills in excel modelling and valuation methodologyStrong communicator in English.
