Job Summary

As a Remote Support Engineer trainee you will, after extensive training, work on equipment designed and installed by VMI Group. Contact with customers and a problem solving mindset are of great importance.

Responsibilities and Duties

We offer you an extensive training, to become an expert of VMI’s Care Pharma machines.

Below a Selection Of Responsibilities

• Answer the phone and e-mail from our customers or coworker. Find a quick and reliable solution for their problem and look for ways to prevent the same issue in the future.
• Accurate reporting of all questions and issues in the VMI Asset Management Software.
• Be actively involved in creating knowledge base articles for future use in solving the same kind of issues and questions.
• Remotely analyze data from equipment to survey current issues and OEE of the machine.
• 24/7 helpline: Be available outside office hours for 1st and 2nd line remote support, up to a maximum of one (1) week per 6 weeks.
• Visit the customer in case remote service fails and support Preventive Maintenance if requested.
• Train the customer at VMI or on site.

Work environment

You will be part of the Technical Service Support (TSS) team and work according to the VMI Global Service vision: Together with our Customers we ensure that VMI solutions have competitive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), maximum reliability and consistent high quality.

The TSS team is responsible for all VMI equipment after warranty expiration. Because of a growth of our services we are looking for a Remote Support Engineer to expand our team.

Your profile

It is preferable if you have experience with industrial machines and have the following qualifications;

• Completed Bachelor degree (HBO) or proven ability to work and act at this level. The education should be in the field of mechatronics or electrical.
• Experience with PLC systems, industrial PCs, Fanuc robotics, SQL database.
• Valid driver license.
• Be accurate in reporting.
• Analytic mind / stress resistant / acting as an ambassador for VMI / customer oriented / can-do mentality.
• Service minded and available at customer’s request.
• Willingness to travel internationally for training purpose and to support our customer if necessary.

If you are missing some of above qualification, but interested and willing to follow training courses as Fanuc, SQL PLC, training etc., then VMI will offer this opportunity.
