Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Quality Manager for our Quality Department at Kingfish. This role requires a hands-on approach, problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide expert advice to staff. As a manager, you will oversee a small but collaborative quality team, interacting closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate, participate in, and oversee quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) programs and policies.

Ensure compliance with regulations and sustainability goals.

Engage in hands-on QC activities.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality policies and procedures, recommending improvements.

Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to maintain high-quality standards.

Oversee food safety initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of quality and sustainability.

Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Act as the main point of contact for external audits and certifications.

Qualifications:

A degree in Aquaculture, Food Technology, or a related Life Sciences field; a qualification in Quality Assurance is advantageous.

Several years of experience in coordinating and implementing quality control programs and facilitating audits.

Knowledge of food safety certifications (e.g., BRCGS, IFS, FSSC-22000) and aquaculture stewardship (ASC).

Strong understanding of quality regulations and sustainability practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
