Your new role

Our client in Amsterdam is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician that will be responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of installations and equipment within a pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

· Responsible for repair and maintenance of installations and equipment at the pharmaceutical site.

· Supervises work performed by outside contractors.

· Follows up and permanently fix breakdowns on installations and equipment.

· Ensures documentation of executed work according to cGMP regulations.

· Supports the development of engineering guidelines and standards.

· Performs multi-shift work and Stand-By duties as required.

Skills & Knowledge

· Provides technical expertise on utility systems and small equipment.

· Performs routine evaluation studies of manufacturing equipment with guidance.

· Analyzes issues to seek simple solutions or escalates to an engineer for further processing.

· Able to communicate on several organizational levels within the organization.

· Able to perform (simple) problem solving and root cause analysis.

· Has experience with execution and starting improvement projects.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate should have a minimum MBO level 4 and at least 3 years of maintenance experience in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or food company, with direct exposure to cGMP or highly regulated work environments. Additionally, a mandatory VCA-VOL certificate is required. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in Dutch, along with a solid understanding of English, are essential. The candidate should be able to work both independently and in a team, demonstrate a result and service-oriented mindset, and prioritize safety.
