International Payroll Specialist

For a world leader in contracting in the offshore energy market. My client is looking for an international payroll specialist to join their team in their offices in Delft. My client is looking for someone who would be knowledgeable in all areas, from legislation and regulations to collective labour agreements and from payroll tax to social security. As an International Payroll Specialist, you will be the point of contact for all payroll solutions and advice for more than 1000 of our colleagues working at offices and yards in the Netherlands, Belgium and UK (both with the help of an external provider), Switzerland, and the offices in Australia, Malaysia, USA.

Your new role

You would be responsible for the correct and timely monthly salary payment for our clients' employees. In addition, you look at processes and workflows with a critical eye and look for ways to optimise them. You will lead payroll analytics initiatives based on large data sets to improve reporting and controls and provide measurable advice based on your findings. You also identify and implement initiatives for process automation optimisation (e.g. improving the correct implementation of changes in payroll administration).

You will be assisting with payroll processes for our international offices, such as expats, and shadow patrol of the Allseas Crew living in the Netherlands. You will also ensure that current legislation and regulations are properly applied and implemented in the payroll system. You are aware of developments in the payroll field and support continuous improvement action to ensure best practices and compliance throughout the payroll process.

A selection of your activities

• Supporting the migration from Oracle to SuccessFactors
• Generate reconciliation of financial Payroll reports
• Follow-up of WKR (work costs scheme)
• Checking changes & invoicing Pension, WIA excess, accident, absenteeism insurance (ERD) and collective labour agreement for Metal and Technology
• Global Wage Cost Calculations
• Participate in the various projects
• Both your direct and indirect colleagues know where to find you for all kinds of questions when it comes to salaries. In this position you work together with a payroll colleague, who coaches and guides you by sharing your knowledge and experience. You report to the Compensation & Benefits Manager.

Requirements

• You have at least 7 years of demonstrable payroll experience, ideally in a comparable position within an international environment.
• You have a VPS diploma (Vocational Training Payroll Services)
• A thorough knowledge of Dutch and Belgian payroll regulations and the ambition to continue developing in this area is essential.
• Additional knowledge of International Mobility, expats, 30% scheme and split-payroll topics (Dutch/Belgian).
• You have demonstrable experience in technology - you are IT skilled, Excel holds no secrets for you, you are familiar with process automation.
• Experience with SuccessFactors and Cobra (SD Worx) is an advantage.
• You master the Dutch and English languages, spoken and written
