Your Challenge at Payter:As Implementation Consultant at Payter, you will be responsible for a range of critical and customer focussed activities within the wider Payter ‘Product’ function. Imagine yourself as the expert helping customers smoothly implement our products, from Pre-Sale to Production. You'll offer expert advice and developer support, conduct product training, and provide assistance to our clients during the deployment and go-live of Payter solutions in the field. As the organisation’s technical experts on Payter products, you may also occasionally be asked to provide additional assistance to Payter’s customer support team on more complex or unusual technical support escalations.

Your Field of Responsibilities:

  • Through a mixture of training, documentation review and experimentation, become an expert in the operational use of Payter’s range of products and services. In particular understand the various integration options including cloud API’s, local TCP/IP Socket connectivity options, and more traditional serial and binary communication methods
  • Offer a variety of Payter clients your expertise in activities such as an introductory walk-through/consultation process with new customers, provide support to those customers whilst they are developing and testing their implementation, and finally test and certify their efforts prior to approving a production deployment
  • Respond efficiently to integration support tickets (mostly via email into a ticket management system) with detailed answers to the queries raised and/or offers of other methods of assistance such as interactive video calls or other presentations, online chat solutions or phone calls to meet the customer’s communication preferences and accurately record those interactions ensuring sufficient information is available should another member of the team need to follow-up if you’re unavailable
  • Support Payter Implementation Consultant Project Managers in this capacity on larger and more complex projects
  • Throughout these customer engagements, note any opportunities for product, service and process improvement to feedback into the wider team ensuring a consistent focus on the provision of an exceptional customer experience.


What do you bring to the table?We think that as an Implementation Consultant within Payter, you will be successful if you bring the following knowledge and experience with you. If you do not meet all the requirements but are convinced that you have the qualities for this position, we would like to ask you to still apply. We are open to being convinced:

  • At least 2 years experience in a similar position, ideally within the payments industry
  • A working knowledge of HTTP JSON/XML Restful API software integration, TCP/IP Sockets and any other similar technologies that allow software and services to communicate with each other
  • Experience with associated tools such as Postman & Swagger, and any software development experience of any kind is extremely beneficial
  • Any working knowledge of OCPP/OCPI Protocols, MDB, Executive or any other Vending, Parking, Ticketing or Transit experience would be beneficial
  • Experience across a number of fields including but not limited to Testing, Customer Service & Support, Documentation and Training
  • Genuine desire to truly understand the customer perspective and ambition to deliver the best customer experience without fail
  • Superior problem solving and organisational skills; detail oriented with an ability to conceptualise, prioritise and manage multiple simultaneous projects
  • A demonstrable track record of self-directed learning; You seek out new things and are driven to find out how they work
  • You are social and you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Any other language capability is certainly beneficial
  • You are sensitive to customer needs and you can make the translation between customer requirements and actual possibilities.
