Your deep understanding of Dutch employment laws, HR best practices, and people management will be critical in driving efficiency and maintaining a harmonious work environment. You will lead the people team, which includes our People Advisor, People Operations Specialist, Office Manager, and temporary Recruiter, to optimize processes, elevate employee engagement, and achieve our organizational goals.

Your Responsibilities
- HR Strategy Development & Implementation Formulate and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with our company's objectives. Continuously refine HR processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Guiding the People team on topics such as
- Recruitment and employer branding to attract Fairphones talent.
- People Operations to ensure a compliant and efficient operational process.
- Employee relations to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Rewards to ensure competitive and equitable rewarding structures.
- Development to Lead initiatives to enhance employee growth and development.
- Engagement to drive employee engagement initiatives to strengthen company culture and collaboration.
- HR tooling to leverage technology to streamline processes and improve data management. Ensuring the HRIS meets the organizational needs.
- People Leader Ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that drive organizational success.
- Hands-On Approach Willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive deep into topics as needed.
- Efficiency Enthusiast Passionate about bringing efficiency and optimizing processes within the people team and organization.
- Empathetic & Approachable Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to support and advise employees and managers.
- Detail-Oriented Accurate documentation and adherence to legal requirements are second nature to you.
- Proactive & Solution-Focused Anticipate issues before they arise and come up with effective solutions.
- Team Player Collaboration is key, and you thrive in a team environment.
- International Perspective Experience in working in international organizations with many nationalities.
- HR Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Dutch employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and policies.
- Experience in guiding people teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Proficiency in monitoring and reporting HR metrics to drive improvements.
- Love for working efficiently, automating processes where possible, and challenging the team to work most effectively.

- Relocation Support - Fairphone will reimburse the cost of a one-way train (if applicable) ticket to the Netherlands, arrange an appointment at the municipality and provide all the necessary information so that your arrival and settlement in the Netherlands will be smooth and pleasant!
- Public transport allowance – we fully cover your 2nd class commute from your home to the office.
- AND Bike allowance – we support you with a bike purchase of up to €300, and you’ll have a yearly repair budget of up to €80, too!
