Job description:

The Head of Benelux Communications is responsible for building TCS’ brand and reputation in the Benelux, using impactful storytelling, leadership profiling, media relations and reputation management.

As part of the European Communications team, the role works closely together with the Country Heads in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as the following functions: Marketing, Thought Leadership, Social Media, Internal Communications and Communication peers in other regions (including DACH, Nordics and France).

The Head of Benelux Communications reports into the Head of Communication TCS Europe.

Focus:

Build TCS’ reputation as global thought leader with local roots with key audiences in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Boosting the TCS brand through strategic corporate and customer storytelling, driving media relations, profiling local leadership as well as topical experts. Manage and oversee agency collaborations (PR/media relations and video/written content creation).

Key qualifications:

• Strategic, creative and flexible communications professional who enjoys working in a complex, fast moving international B2B/IT environment
• Ability to spot communication opportunities, turn them into corporate, brand and/or customers stories and leverage them across different channels
• Ability to produce results in a complex, international multi-stakeholder environment.
• 8-10 years of experience in reputation management, media relations and storytelling
• Experience with (strategic) content creation
• Experience in management of pr, marketing and content agencies
• Experience with issue management and crisis communication
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Dutch

Key Responsibilities

• Leading Communications in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg for a fast-growing technology company
• Building TCS’ reputation in the Benelux market
• Working with the Dutch, Belgium and Luxembourg Country Heads and support them in reaching their country objectives
• Creating and executing the Benelux communications plan i.c.w. relevant in- and external stakeholders, agencies as well as the global TCS communications team.
• Source stories and create opportunities that can help drive TCS’ reputation and thought leadership position in the region
• Create or review communications materials, including press releases, customer references, video testimonials, articles, statements etc.
• In collaboration with local agencies, actively pitch stories to trade and business journalists as well as manage media related enquiries.
• Build and maintain relationships with key journalists in the region.
• Occasionally, the role may need to engage in issues management and crisis communications activities
• Occasional (international) travel may be required
