Financial Commercial Controller

For one of our Life Science partners, we are currently looking for financial commercial controller.

About the Role:

In this commercial controlling role, you will be a pivotal part of our B2B unit that serves professional customers worldwide. You will act as a financial business partner to the Sales and Marketing teams for the Netherlands, Belgium, and Export markets. The focus in these regions is to drive the growth of our B2B brand. The main objective of this role is to steer the businesses in driving sustainable, profitable growth through financial stewardship, commercial support, and deep pricing understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a sparring partner for our Sales and Marketing teams by analyzing, interpreting, and advising on financial data and results.
• Be fully involved in the finance month-close process to ensure decisions are made based on accurate figures.
• Prepare monthly financial outlooks.
• Take a leading role in drafting business cases for issues such as capacity optimization and new product development.
• Contribute to the optimization of financial systems and tools.
• Participate in a variety of multi-disciplinary improvement projects.
• You will report directly to the Finance Director for the European market.

Requirements:

• Pro-active and curious mindset, with a pragmatic approach.
• Strong business/commercial acumen, while remaining analytical and critical to challenge commercial assumptions, address deviations from plan, and drive corrective actions.
• At least 8 years of relevant business controlling experience, including experience in commercial controlling.
• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and SAP.
• Experience with complex reporting processes.
• Accountable and hands-on approach.
