Last Friday, I had the opportunity to join a training session on Employer Branding led by Ernst Schipper at De Wervingsfabriek. While I was already familiar with some aspects, I was pleasantly surprised by the knowledge and depth that Ernst brought to this topic. The biggest learning for me was the importance of creating a 'thumb-stopper' effect with your posts. In today's oversaturated digital landscape, where we often scroll mindlessly through feeds on platforms like LinkedIn, capturing attention is more challenging than ever. A 'thumb-stopper' is a post that makes someone pause their scrolling and engage with the content. There are two key strategies to achieving this effect: 1. 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥: A high-quality, relevant photo that complements your post is a powerful tool to capture attention and can convey a message quickly and effectively. 2. 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Start your post with a compelling, attention-grabbing sentence that will hook your readers in and encourage them to read further. Needless to say I very much enjoyed the session, gained valuable insights, and we even ended the day with a super fun vrijmibo. ⭐

𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹! #socialimpact #impactondernemen #businessconcept #verdienmodel #Hotspot #Hutspot #omdenken #pazzieforbusiness

Big Announcement! Jopp - Young Professionals is LIVE with Risk Free Hiring We are thrilled to announce that Jopp is now live with a groundbreaking new proposition designed to revolutionize the recruitment sector. Typically, with an agency, you've paid the full fee after the agreed probation period. If the new hire leaves three months later, you're left to pick up the pieces. To take that risk off your shoulders, Jopp - Young Professionals offers a 12-month warranty on every hire. Instead of paying the total fee within one or two months, you spread it over 12 months. If a hire doesn't work out within those 12 months, no worries. We will arrange a new employee for you at no extra cost. This way, we share the risk and create a balanced partnership. That's what we call true partnership! We won't leave you hanging; at Jopp, we've got you covered! #recruitment #Jopp #Riskfree #partnership Watch the video down below ⤵

✨ Life's Pulse: Embracing Vulnerability as Strength 💪 . Life's never been a cakewalk for me. It feels like a constant rollercoaster, unlike for some who breeze through effortlessly. That's what drew me to psychology in the first place, diving deep into the intricacies of happiness and later, positive psychology. I found many answers and tools to navigate life's challenges. Yet, despite all the insights and tools, struggles persist. They're woven into the fabric of existence, accompanying us till our last breath. So, how does this impact my role as a coach? That was precisely the focus of our recent intervision session. Opening Statement: “The quality of the intervention depends on the internal state of the coach”. What does this really mean? Must we always exude boundless confidence? Can we coach effectively when we're grappling with our own life transitions? Can we, as coaches, embrace vulnerability? The session yielded more than I anticipated. It was an epiphany, a moment where everything clicked into place – an embodied experience transcending the mere logical parts. The insights were invaluable. Here's what I'm taking away: 💫 Vulnerability Breeds Aliveness: Being vulnerable creates a space for genuine connection. When we embrace vulnerability, it empowers others to do the same. As Brené Brown puts it, "We never feel more alive than when we're being brave and we can’t be brave when we’re not vulnerable.” 💫 Life's Legacy Beyond Motherhood: Howard Thurman's words have always resonated deeply with me – "Don’t ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Cause what the world needs is people who have come alive". For me, 40+ woman without children, this quote just vibes differently now. Coaching is how I bring life. 💫 The Power of Environment: Vulnerability thrives in environments devoid of judgment, where authenticity is cherished. We need communities where sharing struggles is met with empathy, not scrutiny. Brené Brown reminds us: When we can't accept help without self-judgment, we're incapable of offering help without judgment. We all crave genuine connections, especially in a world tainted by superficiality. I aspire to cultivate such environments – not because it's trendy, but because it's integral to who we are, both personally and professionally. That's the world I envision, the ethos I aim to embody as a coach and trainer, fostering communities of genuine connection. I'm profoundly grateful for the supportive communities that surround me, for the insights gained, and for reclaiming my confidence as a sensitive, vulnerable individual and coach. Nursing Homes are outdated, right? 🙄 I recently had the pleasure of being approached by Kennedy West Vastgoed B.V. to create a concept for one of their projects. What made this opportunity even more exciting was that it's centered around a care concept 🙂❤️ . Earlier in my career, I contributed to several 'care concepts', including eef.nl for Syntrus Achmea Hypotheken The Vision Behind Olivia (wonenbijolivia.nl) 🌟 Kennedy West envisions that Olivia will catalyze the real estate market, freeing up more homes. Many properties are currently owned by seniors who are ready to downsize but hesitate due to fears of change, financial insecurity, and emotional attachment. They worry that moving is a lost! However, with concepts like Olivia and Eef, when seniors make the move, their homes become available for starters and families who need the space and can revitalize these properties. Benefits for Everyone 🤝 Seniors moving into Olivia can enjoy a vibrant community where care needs are met in collaboration with care institutions. Olivia isn’t just for seniors; it's a dynamic environment where people at different life stages live together. It's a place where social cohesion thrives, and support comes from being part of a community. Key Features of Olivia: 🏠 Safety: A protective, reassuring, and reliable environment. 🙏 Inclusivity: Everyone is welcome, diversity is embraced, and unity is celebrated. 🤝Community: A connected space where sharing, pride, and support are integral. 💖Quality of Life & Wellbeing: A focus on health, joy, and overall wellbeing. Nursing homes are a relic of the past. We need care concepts that don't just house seniors but create communities where people can live happily together. Why I Founded Concepts by Jones 💡 This is why I founded Concepts by Jones. I want to encourage developers to think beyond just 'building' to address space shortages. Instead, let's create spaces that solve societal issues and enhance human happiness. Real estate is about emotion! Join the Conversation 🗣️ I'm excited to dive deeper into 'Concept Development in Real Estate' in an upcoming webinar. If you're a real estate/project developer, architect, investor, or simply interested in innovative real estate solutions, please fill out this short Google Doc poll (https://lnkd.in/g8KA5_Kb) to express your interest. If there's enough interest, I'll schedule it soon! 📅 #realtydevelopment #seniorliving #communityliving #carehomes #homeownership #propertyinvestment #inclusivehousing #modernhousing #socialcohesion #homecare #realestatetrends #propertymarket

Emotion is the engine of maturation. This week our newly installed Dutch government debated the parlement in a way that was described as ‘chaotic’, ‘a circus’, ‘charade’, ‘bullying’, ‘mean’ and ‘a kindergarden’. Not exactly what one wishes for in these times where we face huge challenges that need wise, sensible decision making and collaboration. We could summarise the behaviour as immature. Or as one representative said to the new ministers and secretaries during the debates: Political puberty is over! It made me think of the following a sentence I read in a book by Gordon Neufeld: “Since emotion is the engine of maturation, when children lose their tender feelings, they become stuck in their immaturity.” Our politics. Stuck in immaturity. Defined by stories of fear, hatred and denial. Of that what is the other: gender, culture, race. Of that what is tender: art, nature, vulnerability. Of that what is complex: policy, reality, life. Driven by primal feelings from the gut, expressed by unfiltered voices, bypassing the loving heart and reflective mind. Maybe this is what happens when society lets children lose their tender feelings. A politics of closed hearts, closed minds and closed borders. Maybe that is the way back. To get unstuck. Creating space for tender feelings to exist. For tender interactions to happen. To become mature. Emotionally. Culturally. Politically. (video in Dutch)

During a recent Shared Mailboxes workshop (in combination with Speedmailing/Inbox Zero) at Stichting DOEN and Dekker Zevenhuizen, we focused on optimizing individual mailboxes and enhancing efficiency in Outlook and Teams. The challenge of efficient collaboration in shared mailboxes was a key topic. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution, but with targeted sessions for analysis, clean-up, and training, progress is achievable. A crucial step is agreeing on how to manage incoming emails. Like the office dishwasher, shared mailboxes need clear rules to avoid becoming overlooked. Start with a team discussion on current practices and frustrations, then draft a “this is how we roll” guide. Writing down assumptions reduces errors and annoyances. Ensure there’s an easy way to assign responsibility for tasks, using a simple folder structure or categories. The goal is to reduce bureaucracy while preventing tasks from slipping through the fingers. Monitor the status of tasks—whether actionable or completed—using folders or categories, but keep it simple. Implement and train the team on shared mailbox practices, improving email search settings, and writing emails. Agree that every email should start with a greeting and end with a thank you, including names, for clarity and practicality. In shared mailboxes, less is more. Fewer folders and actions per email lead to more efficiency and team satisfaction. Review practices every three months to minimize bureaucracy and implement small improvements.
